# Athletic Estate

> Athletic Estate is an exclusive sports community circulating a sports economy around the Institution of the Athlete. Every Athlete owns a Number, builds a Legacy Line, and earns from a Royalty Pool that compounds an Estate past the final whistle. AE Inc. (for-profit) runs the platform; Athletic Estate Association (AEA, 501(c)(6)) runs the Movement.

The site has two anchors. The **Legacy Graph** is the registry of every athlete who has ever held a Number on a team — Pee Wee to Pro. The **Financial Engine** is the Money Engine + §409A election framework that turns endorsement and commerce activity into earned and deferred income for the Star Athlete and the Living Legacy pool of prior holders of the same Number.

## How earnings work

Every purchase a Fan makes (MVPs, Shop, Tickets) runs through a waterfall: Stripe fees → AE platform 10% → Athlete pool. The Athlete pool splits 80% to the Star Athlete / 20% to the Living Legacy pool (tenure-weighted across all prior holders of that Number on that Team). Each Athlete elects a §409A split (0/100, 10/90, 25/75, 50/50, or custom percentage) — immediate income vs. deferred income that compounds for 7+ years. Year-7 begins paying down deferred at 4% per year for 25 years.
